+1 on the mikita tools. Also look into the new impact drill bits by milwaukee. There are driver bits as well as drills. They have a center section that twists instead of snapping.

Ridgid!! Life time warranty on the drill and the batteries! I love mine more than the Dewalt I had. It's my go to tool.

Only the best! Snap on!

makita li-ion drill driver all the way. I'm in the trades and can't even imagine my job with out them. I have 2 sets 1 at the shop and 1 at home. both sets get a daily beating for the last 3 years. although I have no tool loyalty my second favorite tool is my dewalt chop saw. that things cut a lot of pvc in it's day.

Cut all my own sheets of ply and board.
Great investment.
Other than that I have all makita tools and dewalt sliding compound mitre saw.

=)

Makita 10.8 volt cordless Drill/Impact Driver combo. Small enough to fit in a tool bag and powerful enough to handle pretty much any project. Makita 4 3/8" circular saw, perfect for freehand cutting and ripping. Lightweight and strong. DeWalt impact bits. I own other power tools but they mostly stay in the shop.

I have these units and I love them. The drill and impact driver are separate units and came in a small silver hard case with the charger. Both drill and impact driver come with 1/4" hex quick connect. I bought a keyless chuck for the drill that fits right into the 1/4" hex quick connecter. Love it. Now I can use any drill up to 1/2". These units have a small head light on them that is great for working inside a cabinet like a fish tank stand. These units are very small and easily fit in the tight places. Very strong too, the impact driver has no problem pushing a 3.5" screw through a sheet of plywood and into a 2X4.
