What's in your sumps?

In a search to provide the best for my fishes I'm looking to get rid of my current wet dry filter setup and make a sump out of my spare 50 gallon I posted a link earlier that had a fluidized bed filter was going to add that but other then that some sponges is there anything that is a must? Is there anyone thing that will make or break a nice sump setup?

One baffle I got 3 bags of fine poly sheets a small bag of poly fiber and coarse sponges. In the middle baffle I got I think was a cubic foot of ultimate tube media (which is similar to k1) and in the last baffle I got almost 30#'s of matrix.
 
I have the water dumping in the sump go through some filter socks stuffed with filter floss. The overflow box also has a pre filter sponge. That leads into the fluidized bed chamber with k1 and the last chamber has all the heaters and pond matrix and rings, also have a sack of carbon in there as well

Keep it simple and easy. This is my favorite setup after trying many things and I love it.

in pic #3 further side is the pump.. next to the pump is that an air pump?? that air pump is pumping air to your K1s??
 
Yes that's my airpump it's an ap100.
