What's my flowerhorn's problem?

I know I'm loving the bars lol and yes the fin damage looks bad. I literally witnessed the Escondido bite a chunk out of the fin. They literally just keep going at it and its confusing. The flowerhorn keeps acting like its laying eggs but I don't see anything.

You may need to decide which fish you like better, the FH or Texas, and get rid of one. I personally would not tolerate fighting that would cause a fish to get serious fin damage. I just don't think that's a good way to keep fish.

Also, you should report Ihsnshaik to the administrators and let them deal with him. He is clearly out of line. Engaging in a back and forth with an immature child makes you look almost as bad as it does him.

This is a good forum. You just have to watch what you type with it being 2016 and everyone getting angry about everything...

I've had a member spend an hour of his time telling me how to fix what I did wrong, and prevent it in the future. He did this in the middle of the night. Some members are very helpful. Just get on their good side.

I cleaned half of this threads posts out. This is a discussion thread. If you have nothing constructive to post ABOUT THE SUBJECT OF THE THREAD then stay off.

yes I know I don't like when my fish get hurt.. I literally try and save everything that gets picked on.. I have an entire tank dedicated to them.. It's my reject tank lol... But anyways ya this literally just started happening but I believe it's because the flowerhorn Is ready to lay eggs. It's got an egg tube out.. And it's pursuing the male

At least that's what it looks like lol who knows fish are crazy.. Also I plan to separate them anyways I'm moving in a week so they will be separated if not paired up, this was a grow out tank... I guess they are grown lol

It is very hard to part from one of your fish. . . I have the same problem my green terror pair or my flowerhorn. . . I have flowerhorn in the big tank atm the green terror is in 30 gallon d

Well I'm not going to part with them I'm just putting then all in separate tanks. I just invested in a fish room with my husband so I'll be able to get them where they need to be. I'm hoping I can find a female Escondido to put in with my male. He seems to think every female in the tank is for him. So you have flowerhorns... Is it safe to say that the one I have is a female for sure.?
