OK i will be selling my 120 for a 180 sometime in the future. I was wondering what i can get out of it.
It is an all-glass with a pine stand.
2 almost new 300w jagers.
2 almost new emp. 400's.
1 oddysea cfs 4.
Glass tops.
Twin tube strip light.
The tank is in great condition with scratches but the silicone is perfect.
Sorry no recent full tank shots with the new jagers and emps but you can still see them.

Sorry to break it to you but you are not gonna get anywhere near what you put in.

People love to lowball used tanks. If you were within distance to me I could get you a new 180 or 230 with the same footprint for a heck of a good price.

I would recommend trying to sell the tank and stand and keep the filters and heaters for your next tank as you will not get the value for them.

Thanks thats what i was thinking was just sellingthe tank, stand, lights, lids.
Maybe 250-300 for that?

Depends on what site you are using to try and sell it. Who knows you may get a live wire Put it up for 450 and see if someone takes the hook. At least when they try to take you down in price you will be in the area you are thinking.

Ok and yeah im looking for a great deal on a new 180 which the money from this would go towards.

If you were closer, I would say $100 and come get it yet tonight :)

Similar set ups around here average $300-$500. You have better filtration, heaters and lighting than the typical craigslist tank though. I believe a good place to start is $600 and let them talk you down.

chefjamesscott had a good thought...keeping what you can use for your bigger tank. Selling only the items specific to your tank, you could probably still get $250-$300.

Of course, these numbers are all just "best guesses".

Good luck!

yeah i would keep the 300w heaters and throw in some junk ones if you have any laying around.
Around here the only way to get a 300w jager is online and thats a pain in the ass.

i really depends on the area, but around here you can get a "not so perfect" 100-125g for around $200 w/ everything on craigslist. seems not a lot a lot of people have the room for 'big" tanks these days.
