What's on my bass?

Heres a pic of when it happened to mine, its exactly the same as yours judging by the pic, personally I think its not a scrape but everyone has their own opinions

I add salt at a rate of 2 - 2.5 cups per 100 gal in my tanks with rays.

New pic of same fish after 4 weeks by adding coral bones to buffer ph higher, you can see the big improvement already compared to old pic above

That is exactly what my two bass have, just a little bit worse than your picture. I will add the coral bones and hopefully that will help. Thanks for the advice.

All good bro, once you get your ph up give the fish a min of 3 weeks to see the improvement
