Thanks for giving your time to help me eveyone!! I will leave it in there for now and see what happens. I have another peace of the same kind of wood i would like to add it to the 85gl, any sugestions on how I should pre-treat the wood before adding?

I have the same wood from the same manufacture, it goes away with time, or if you have a pleco they LOVE to munch on it.
 
Harmless fungus. My driftwood will get this from time to time then when my silver dollars feel like it they willl eat it. I never let it bother me it looks kinda natural.
