I'm not a fan of the snow either a six month tour of kosovo did that for me, first 3 months lovely red hot sun, after that Snow, Snow and guess what MORE SNOW, but that wasn't what put me off, what put me off the snow was having to be dug in a fox hole for a week freezing my tit's off waiting to ambush any serbs which crossed the boarder into kosovo.
Yep Snow suck if you like Carp fishing. But if you like snowboarding I guess its cool
im hopeing for nice striper to break my personal record, probably wont happen, but a man can dream 
im hoping to catch a nice tiger musky or some kind of pike, but there is still 8 inches of snow on the ground
on my list for this year is a 20lb+ striper from the beach, a keeper cod, 10lb+ blackfish, and a pollack
and on my real hitlist are all the spiny dogfish that are eating all the bait and small seabass, blackfish and everything else out there that anyone wants.

Ended up with 153 perch from lake st. clair on sat. So right now ice fishing to tide me over until the rivers open up again then its time to catch some spring steel.
Oh yeah for any who fly fish try using your steelie rod in the summer on carp, I promise you won't be disapointed. egg patterns, buggers, and streamers anything like that works great.
