What's so great about horses?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been kicked off both times i tried to ride. One of them i owned and never tried to ride it again. It was more like an expensive dog.But i still like them and being around them. But I prefer a four-wheeler for travel. You only have to feed it when you use it.

You know...there are those girls who are all "oooooh horses!" and talk about them and ride them and sometimes have their own horses and just think horses are the greatest things on earth. And then there are movies and books and all kinds of nonsensicle stuff like that dedicated to horses and the weird, shady subculture associated with horses.

Well, in my experience, horses are big, smelly, somewhat unpredictable, and more dangerous than many less-romanticized animals, for instance, the snakes that people tell me I'm crazy for keeping. So I don't really understand what's so romantic about a couple on a horse riding off into the middle of a grassy field somewhere. Because who wants to have sex when you both smell like a sweaty horse?:screwy:

I mean I don't hate them, but really, what's the big deal?

Haven't you heard the saying ,"he hungs like a horse?":D Or ,"he's a stud?":D

Lmao, yeah because a horse or let's just say a Stallion is da man in a woman's heart. And they like them because they have monstrous erection...

Just kidding...but true, not to all. To me, every animal is beautiful, it's just whether you see it or not.

Now, who wants to remove sperm from a Stud? And it's always a woman...ok I've been bad enough, I'll stop now.

horses aren't unpredictable, you just have to know how to read their body language. hoses love telling you they are gonna bite you, before they will even try to go for it. and i have yet to meet a horse that would bite you while you are looking, they are wussies.

I'm not talking about biting, I'm talking about them in general.

Too easy to get spooked, might be in a bad mood some day, or just plain don't want to do what you tell them to do.

Ok, must an animal do as a human prefer to be categorized as good? Cool? Awesome etc? Unless you're speaking of it being a good human companion which I believe you are..but then what is a good human companion to the horse itself if the human isn't allowing the animal to be itself?

Horse is a beautiful animal, they symbolize strength, power, speed, beauty and grace. Just try to see you in a field and watch you hearing this woman, let's take Missyme for example, riding a horse so fast....can you hear it? Wouldn't you look? I do not like to see any animal as a servant or transport for human, but if it's a companion, friendly, both loving each other and the animal does it willingly or lovingly, that I love..I don't like people forcing any animal to do what they want them to do. Teaching friendly is different, and must always respect the animal...just like you, you wouldn't want people wanting you to do something anytime they want would you? *Still with the image of Missyme riding a horse*

I think Eddie Murphy said it best
"I aint getting on that, its a big ugly dog with hard feet"

I'm sorry, but it sounds to me like you didn't have enough experience to be on the horse if you can't manage to stay on it. You can't just go out and jump on and expect it to read your mind. There is a lot of communication that must happen between the horse and the rider. If you were bucked off, then it was your fault. You didn't hear what the horse was telling you.

Look at this way, it's the same as a person that is new to fish. You can't just dump a fish in a bowl and expect not to have to do anything else. You have to learn the rules of caring for fish just the same as you have to learn the rules of being around horses.

To everybody:
I'm sure that there are people that don't understand fishkeeping either. You shouldn't dump on something just because you don't take a particular interest in it. Wouldn't you be offended if somebody else said "Fish are stupid. They are only good for cat food"?

I still cant stand them. I don't have to like them, you can:)

People can tell me how beautiful they are, I can say they aren't.

Nope, I hear that quite frequently :grinyes: I just grin, nod, and carry on. They don't have to like them.
