Whats the absolute minimum tank size for a sen bichir?

seems like they slow down at a certain size.
but would one be ok in a 38gal? 36" x 12" foot print... 20" high...

Will be stunted, IMO a sen in a tank that size will never reach its full potential.

I say go for it with the 38. It's your final decision dude, but it seems senegals never really get past 10 inches at the most. I'd get it, with the AC110 easily, nitrates won't be crazy with a senegal. Just go slowly with the tankmates and check nitrates and if their over 40ppm in a week then take some tankmates out. IMO though.

The tank's got plenty of plants, and with all the plants and ac110, nitrates shouldnt het too high.
