COmmonly....The baddest, aggressive, responsive display award would go to the Midas Devil.....LOTS of members and neighbors of mine have 75-100g tanks in their main hallway, kitchen, and/or living room with a Midas Devil swimming alone in it like a pitbull paceing the backyard fence....

Great subject, here's my two cents. If you go by aggressive display I think the Firemouth has it down pat. Red in the animal kingdom is a sign of danger, and the two fake eyes on the Firemouth gills makes others think it's fighting two fish. I think an Oscar's display is also pretty intimidating. They open there big mouth up really wide and do a lot of of bull rush movement. Oscars aren't really tuff compared to other cichlids but they sure jesture like they are. If you're going by just the look of the fish I would go with a Grammode.
they look like pitbulls with there big heads and muscular short body.

Nice reply. I agree that jags, midas, dovii, and all the big boys look pretty intimidating and got what it takes to back up their display but I was hoping we could throw some other non bruisers in the mix, Fish with such an impressive display they'll fool you into thinking they're tougher than they really are. Anyone got pics of their beasties?
