What's the best canister?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Guys, stay on topic, play nice, and chill a bit.

Although the communication of facts and expert advice is one of MFK's biggest virtues, the social aspect of being a fish lover family is part of it as well. In my family, we joke a bit. Why not do it here, too, as long as facts and advice are communicated as well.

Oh, and when my brother and I were little kids, we fought just like you do now - it's just like a real family ;)

Normally we close threads by request of original poster, but I decided to leave this thread open so that we can all shake hands and move on. It's never good to close a thread on bad terms. smmfish, feel free to shoot me a PM if you disagree.

BTW: While the 2211 is a great filter, your 125 gal is a big tank - even with HOBs. You may also want to check out THIS thread.

sorry but i bored with the best can thread had to laugh to myself..

now if i can get oddball to photoshop a couple hoses it would be perfect:ROFL:

I apologize about not thinking this was funny. I am just really looking for the right filter for my tank and took it out of context.
It is kinda funny if you stop and think about it. I am sure there are several posts each day that refer to filtration and it is irritating that everytime you log on all the posts are about which filter is the best.
I will take things lightly from now on.

No need for an apology I understand and don't worry about finding the right filtration nothing but highly knowledgeable members here with a little reading you'll know more then the manufacturing companys..

Thanks, that doesn't say very much for the manufacturers. But it's true.
Just like most lfs employees.

I have found Ehiem to be a great manufacturer; the filters I have are the 2215, 2217 and a wet & dry one ( forget the number). I have a 2215 and 2217 that have been with me for like forever and they work as good as new. I definitely recommend them.

I have 3 cascade 1500 on my 240 and have no trouble with them and I am running one cascade 1500 on my 100 gallon that stays crystal clear. all are about 3 years old.:headbang2
