Whats the best deal on tanks you ever got ???

i got a 250g glass tank with solid wood stand, 14 ft. worth if strip lights, two rena xp3's, an eheim pro2, 3-300w heaters, 200lbs of substrate, chemicals, a powerhead and 4 or 5 airpumps

for a grand total of $500. plus another $200 to hire 4 professional movers on the side for 20 minutes to get the tank down my basement, because i dident trust any of my friends carrying that heavy of a tank.

its a perfecto tank, so i got the damn green-tinted glass, but hey, it was $500 :headbang2
 
180gal with 2 overflows and all the plumbing for $100 bucks////i have this lady that lives up the street form me that wants to sell me a 55gal right now with 2 lights and 2 bio whe filters on it for 100$
 
custom made tank with sweet little waterfall type step things and wet dry filter for free and i estimated it to be about 25 gallons
 
wow i guess there are good deal out there just have to be in the right place at the right time to get the good deal i thought my deal was good but it looks like there are some better ones out there so i guess we all have to be on the look out for good or great deals

Yep, luck has a lot to do w/ it. I learned two important lessons over the years while doing swap meets and buying on line.

1) Keep you wallet loaded.
2) If you don't buy it, the next guy will.

I'm picking up a 75g, 38g and 125g this weekend. I have no intention of getting them up and running soon, but the deals were too good to pass up.

there are deals out there the likes of which should be illegal. just need to keep looking, and it eventually pays off.

i lost bidding on a 750g, completely computer controlled reef-system, some top of the line filtration, pumps, autofill/mixer, a completely customized system because it "wouldent fit in his new apt".....ended up selling for i think 1100 on ebay. worst part was, my damn max bid was 1075, and came home 20 mins after auction ended. even after paying for plumbers to remove, and then replumb the whole system here, it so would have been worth it.
 
best deal i ever got was a 20 gallon,iorn stand,reef background,a few rocks,some cleaning equipment,hob filter,and 2 betta tanks=20 bucks
my step mom is looking into a `150 high for 500 but i don't know itching suspicion that it was just on sale for Christmas
and a reef coral tank with stand and wet dry filter for 50 dollars i think it's like 30 or 35 gallons very shaloow think i'll use it for turtles or something since i don't have the cash to spend on reef lighting
