Bump.! Lol Just wanted to see if this is still the best HOB? If so let me know! If not what should I go with?

I don't have one, but all I see when someone asks this question is to go with an AC110.

What size tank are you putting it on?
Its actually a small tank 25 gallon. I got a tank what they call a fluval accent. The filter is a submerisbke one that came with it ans seems to suck. If u look inside of the filter there is little to no water movement. And it actually looks stagnant. I'm wanting to replace the filter that came with the tank. But it has to 8" or less for the width. Orrrr I can actually get a api filstar S canister filter for $20.

If you want an HOB filter I would check out the Aqueon QuietFlow 30. It's about $20 on Amazon. It doesn't come with much for bio but you can always add ceramic rings or broken up lava rock. I run two of the QuietFlow 20's on my son's 10 gallon tank and they are pretty quiet. If you want a canister that's pretty cheap, I would look at the SunSun 302B or 303B. I have the 303B on my 29 gallon tank and if you use the spraybar then the flow is not bad. The SunSun 302B and 303B are around $55-$75 on Amazon, depending on which one you get. My 303B holds a huge amount of bio media, probably good for a tank up to 55 gallons easy. Also, the SunSun 300 series filters have a UV built in, which really helps to clear up water to crystal clear.

Not sure if this is an option as I don't have experience with the Accent's filter, but could you possibly add a better pump to the filter to get more flow?

I honestly prefer canister filters. But debating on the stand ATM it might not have storage space for a canister. So I may have to go with a hob filter. I'll take a look at all the ones suggested. Thanks for the help!
