If space is an issue then you could look at some of the fluval canisters since they are much more compact than the SunSun's. A Fluval 206 would be perfect, and quiet. I'm not sure how pricey they are though. I had a Fluval 204 for a very long time until the can cracked and I couldn't find any replacements worth trying. I replaced it with the SunSun 303B.
