WHATS THE BIGGEST MONSTER YOUVE HAD???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oh i forgot. i have a soft shell turtle in my pond. currently my biggest water dweller. he may be around 30 pounds

LOL!!! That must suck. i mean.. look at the teeth on those things!!

Pacu teeth? Leonardo slammed into a tank lid that had been left partially ajar and managed to rip off his lower lip. He has some impressive teeth. He needs a root canal on one of his incisor teeth, and needs orthodontics.

A few months later, his lip was essentially back.

i am 70 percent sure my 15 wyckii drowned them in the night.... cant have both died from the stress and shock of the move over night right??? both looked fine at bed time and had air space to breath!

No nuts for my big boys. I stopped giving them almonds several years ago when they just inhaled them whole without bothering to crunch them. I was afraid my mechanical plumbing might be impacted. :) Pacu supposedly eat Brazil nuts in the wild. They have very strong powerful jaws.

Listen my pacu crunch a carrot (when he was smaller)

i do , however, know what you're referring to. Anyone entering my tank will do so at their own risk:) :) :) I'm sure that those emasculated fellows in New Guinea, or wherever, weren't wearing Speedos.

On another note, my boys are very friendly and like to be petted. Just petted them a day ago. My pacu are very curious and will bite and destroy anything placed in their tank....like air lines.... afterall, they have no hands so only have their mouths to check things out.

That New Guinea pacu probably thought to himself, "Whoa! I didn't know they have Brazil nuts here! Yummo"

That is what prevented me from getting a pacu... GOOD THING! I almost got myself a pacu and there was a river monsters marathon on the night before i was going to my LFS and I changed my mind real quick! But, werent they red bellied pacu not black pacu? What is the difference? Are red bellies smaller?
