What's the coolest top water level fish? (Besides an arowana)

butterflies are cool, they don't really swim around much though.
gars, i think, might be the best. cause its hard to get bored of them.
archers spend a good part of their time up high.

but we can't really give suitable suggestions until we know what the tank mates will be.

Sorry I forgot to mention that. I have 10 6" IT dats, 6 widebar
silver dollars and a GT in my 240g right now. I don't want to get an aro bc I just sold mine and want to try something new that takes up the upper part of the water. Just want something to make it look more balanced bci have so many fish on the lower-mid levels of the water.

It can be a top and mid level swimmer too, just don't want it to stay on the bottom most of the time.

I'm also going with archers, had one back in the 125 a few years ago with the cichlids, and truly fascinating fish
 
the smallest best top water fish imo is the pike topminnow
