^^ above post deff not tru.. i been in the game for prob longer then anyone on here and you can deff tell wild cichla from farm boys. not 100 percent of the tiime but most of the time. you have to study color, fins, body shape, eyes, head shapes, markings, on and on

Our desire for wildfish could be bad for the species. If only those breeeders are more mindful about inbreeding then we do. Darn!

rio negro.. yes i agree about its prob a bad idea for us to take speicies from the wild but i few cant hurt as long as they get into the right hands? right? moderation is key importance in our lives and if certain things are done right i dont think it will hurt. look at all the other wild fish they sell in the market. we wont even mention japan.. you can get any wild cichla you want there
