whats the difference

i have never seen one rare fish in with a load of more common fish. like the guy with a snow arrow, or a blue eye etc. WHERES MY LUCK lol
 
heres one for ya, a local lady here bought a "common" plec, it was infact a vampire plec, but it was a gen. var. it had blue eyes. I had the chance to own it, but never took it up, and she gave it away. Later to find out how rare it was. It was nearly 5" when I saw it.
 
I didn't, but her friend decided to help her out, even though I was offering money, not a lot, but I was willing to go up from there.
 
i'm not sure what kind of common pleco i have maybe you guys can tell me i'll post some pics

yup almost 100%. although i have seen Hypostomus plecostomus look identical to that too
