After doing this, did it take the non-live food?

Yes, it did! Now I fed it with Frozen Krill and Silverside instead of live feeders.

Im on day 5 now without feeding my fish. Still trying with krill and pellets. Fish has loss some size, but looks alright. I can tell its really hungry. I may just get an oscar, but I worry about fights. Who knows, we'll see I dont care if the oscar is killed/eaten, its only about a 5-6 dollar risk.

Happens all the time in fishkeeping. That phrase meant, If something does happen to the oscar, the money isnt an issue, because they are cheap.

I mean, if it sounds cruel to you if it dies, then feeding a goldfish to your fish is just as cruel. If theres a problem with the oscar, I WILL remove it. Being irresponsible would mean I would allow for a fish to be killed. Im trying to take my fish OFF feeders. You suggested I use a schooling fish rather than an oscar, if I do that, that would be irresponsible, because that fish would probably be 100% dead since its defenseless.

Also, if you had read my other posts, you would have seen my concern that the Oscar may be a problem to my other fish. So dont say I am being irresponsible. Mixing fish is a risk no matter what. If you have a problem with this style of fish keeping, then you need to complain to about 90% of the forum people who mix fish where there is risk that something MAY be killed/eaten.

Hes still not eating. Hes refusing. Also, the oscar is a no go. When I placed the oscar in the water with the bag the Perch didnt react to it really. He looked at the oscar and went away. Finally when I let the oscar loose, it was fine and swimming around the tank getting used to it. Then I noticed my Perches eyes locked on the Oscar and he swooped in and bit the oscar. The oscar now is just hanging on one side of the tank. Its not gonna work, the Perch is too aggressive and will probably kill the oscar if I am not around watching.

So I am taking the oscar back tot the store. The oscar is only 1 inch smaller than the perch. So I dont know what I can use as a teacher fish, the fish has to be really fast though.
