I've starved a ray for at least 3 weeks to get it on shrimp and silversides. usually it takes a week or 2 but sometimes it takes a bit longer. I recommend you feed them everyday untill they stop eating for about a month or so before starting to starve them to get them to eat. They need to be very plump and eating well before you start.

both of my girls been eating earthworm since i got them home, and few days a go i stav them for a day, and they ate frozen shrimp the next day. i never know it was that easy, and now they wont stop eating until they pack them self out lol.
motoro female 11" disk starved 26 days to eat shrimp was fed a nightcrawler on the 13th day though but thats not really a meal... according to my notes
