my endli bichir is getting too big i wanna feed him minimum amount. and also second question i got a senegal bichir which has not grown as fast as the endli, ive had the senegal much longer then the endli and he has not grown, but he eats a lot, i feed him more than the endli.

what is the size of the Endie. whan mine were 10, 11 inches I feed them once a day 6 times a week a verity of foods fish ,shrimp, krill, clam, lance fish. sand eels ,beef heart, smelt and tailopia. they are now 18, 20 inches now I feed them every other day. diffrent factor determine size and growth, water perameters, temp ,space, food and genetics. not feeding your Bichirs for a couple of days want harm them in nature they don,t eat every day. and in captivitythey tend to be less active but the Senagalus are vary active. and they exspend a lot of energy.

endlis have one of the fastes growths rates....their one of the biggest bichirs in their family..senegals dont get that big so they got a slower rate of growing..what size tank do you have ?

Don't starve your fish to a selected size.

As you can tell by now, most people around here would never consider the fish as 'growing too fast', but rather that you either don't have a big enough tank and need to re-home it, or that you're worrying about it eating your sen, which actually becomes more likely the less you feed it.

Let the fish grow to it's potential.

I know a guy that is working on something that might help with your dilemma.... Maybe you know him...
