hi every one bit of a strange question i no, but still a very intresting subject IMO, so what is the most expensive cichlid you have heard of or seen and how much was it, i seen some today for £60 pounds each thats over $100 dollers and they were only small 3" the breed was (Uaru Fernandezyepezi) which is what triggered me to ask this question just how much can you pay for a cichlid many thanks

Wild caught Petrochromis sp. Red Bulu Points can go easily for $300/per. And I must say they are totally worth it.
wow willz is that how much Petrochromis sp red bulu points are in the USA, there by no means a common fish over hear in england but you can get them if you look around, for 30-40 pounds a fish about 60-70 dollers each, still pretty damb hard to find though but i belive that, rare aquatics at crewe has some right now 3-4" 40 pounds each or 3 for 100 pounds
It really all depends on availability and demand of certain species, prices can rise and fall. I know of a beani that was sold for 1000$ Ive sold a Haitiensis pair for 400$ are you talking about right now which is the most expensive? or most expensive cichlid ever? cause i would be interested in knowing as well

Tell me about it! I totally regret it now, they were one of a kind and i could have easily gotten more for them. i sold them for 400 and the guy i sold them too couldnt get them to spawn and he sold for 600 and that guy ended up killing them!!
