i seen a picture of a bichir with a lotch and tthought they could live together so i got him a buddy...2 days later the lotch was never seen again...not even a peice of it left...lol leason learned

I can tell the in the last few hours I've lost alot of roseys(not feeders) when my pond drained out. I tried to get them out of the muck in the yard but I missed alot

Iridescent Shark got ripped in half by my SnakeHead ... Leaving both parts of it's body in the tank ... Stupid me for thinking my snakehead was different >_<

Triggerfish ripped engineer goby into peices! And my green spotted puffer ripped of all the fins and bit huge chunks of flesh off my dragon goby.

Porcupine puffer got sucked up into a filter tube, didn't notice it for a few days then the water looked funny. Man that was a FUNKY smell.

had about 80 african cichlids and 8 of them were adult frontozas went away of vaction for a week had some one look after them. came back to find the tank went bad and the smell holy i puke like 8 times the power went out and it was like 40 degress out side cook the fish u could not see thorugh the tank i was so pissed i broke my door

Not my own doing but; The first dragon goby I purchased was dropped into a tank with a dozen GSPS and lasted about a minute, I am told. Since it was killed a mere hour or so before I came to see if it arrived I ordered another and insisted they just leave it in the bag and call me as soon as the fish shipment arrived.
The "replacement" arrived, I was never called, and he met a longer version of the same fate.. The second was dumped into the same tank, however, some of the puffers had sold. All of his fins and some flesh were torn off. My thoughtful husband knew it was fish shipment day so he went to pick it up while I was at work even though no one called. Long story short, he called me to say he got it and I got excited since it WASN'T in the puffer tank when he picked it up, then he brought it home and realized it had BEEN in the puffer tank.. No fins whatsoever, no tail, open wounds covering most of his body. Called the store, brought it back the next day barely alive for my refund. They people there were potheads and going to leave it on a counter, I stuck him in their food freezer at least.
The third one got lucky, I applied my refund to a replacement and again, came in the day of shipment. They didn't call and it was almost store closing time but among the 50-some bettas still in tiny bags I saw my dragon fish. If we hadn't been there he'd have been left another day or two with the bettas. >:(
I almost wish I bought one from walmart sometimes..

My little peacock eel (maybe 6"?) disappeared over a month ago. I checked under all the rocks, stirred up the sand, dismantled all the overflow tubes, rooted around in the sump with a flashlight, took apart the return tube from the pump, everything I could think of, but no luck. I eventually figured he'd jumped out and one of the cats got him, because I couldn't find a corpse anywhere.

Well, I found him yesterday, at the very bottom of a bag of filter floss which had been sitting on a shelf about 4" off the floor and several feet from the tank. No idea how he got in there... he was all crispy, poor little guy... :(

The worst death in my tank was when my 9in bichir had my 4in black ghost knife in his mouth. The knife was obviously picked at by my other fish while my bichir had him in his mouth.:(
