What's the most grusome death one of your fish has suffered?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My brother wanted to buy himself a fish (black fin shark/catfish) so it could live in my tank one week later all that was left was a fin my crayfish had gotten a hold of him and nibbled him to death

Well I don't feel so bad after reading some of these XD

When I first started keeping fish we would take them all out to change the water, One time the bucket grew legs and ran away, So we put the fish in a glass bowl with the 2 heaters, the heaters where maybe 10% in the bowl and 90% out, Hey mum why is the fish water bubbling :O Was pretty sad we had around 60 tetras belly flopping in a salad bowl!

Feb. of 2011 my basement flooded, i had to rip up all the carpet in my aquarium room and replace drywall so i had to break down all my tanks. All my fish were put in storage totes the big ones. Well i got everything ready for them to go back into their tanks. I filled the 120 tank first and but the Arowanna, oscar, pacu, and TSN back in it. Filled the 29 gallon and put all my breeders back in it (29 is full of mollies, platies, guppies). My arowanna is acting strange he is stayin on the bottom the whole time, he wasnt showin any other signs though i thought he would pull through in a day or some. the next day the Arowanna in doin a headstand on the bottom dead, it was a said day..3 or 4 days later the Oscar dies as well he developed a problem with his swimbladder i guess he couldn't hold himself upright....all my other fish survived thought

Came home yesterday arv to find my murray cod upside down on the bottom of the tank barely breathing, quicly grabbed a net and got him out only to find half of his face missing and body stiff as a board, choose to do the humane thing and euthanised it. Bloody vicious Magrove Jack

Worst I have seen is my baby catfiash picking up what looked to be columnaris and got a giant white spot all over his back. poor guy didnt move for 24 hours before he slowly died

Not mine but my uncle had a little silver arowana which he just bought and it lived happily until one day the giant pacu crushed/scraped it against the side of a fish tank killing it according to him. His wife is still sceptical about whether this actually was the reason why the arowana died.

hehe have you ever seen a heater explode?

It may not be so bad to others but to me it is the worst.
My Aba Aba that I left to a maid because we went to LA for vacation. The maid has so much experience on soft fishes but she didnt took care of it. When I went home, I saw my fish floating. I asked her why and she replied, "Im scared of it." Its only 3 inches:irked:
