About 10 years ago, Dept. of fishery attempted to breed wide bar Dat. Good news, they succeeded and got thousands of juvie dat:headbang2 . Bad news, all of them died:( . The Dept. still don't know how to raise those juvies. They just died. There must be some natural secrets to it. Worse, the Dept. haven't had any plan to breed Dat. again since. I don't know why. May be it's no fun and no funds.
On the other hand, thin bar Dat. can be bred in captive. But there's no need to do so.
 
anyone else have a spotted baby indo? i have a funky looking spotted indo. no complete bars, just a bunch of spots.
