What's the REAL DEAL with ICH/ICK?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ich should be a primary concern. Don't take it for granted. As it is a parasite, it opens the gateway for bacterial infections to establish themselves. Bacterial infections in general are secondary to the parasites. When the parasites inflict open wounds, it allows the pseudomonas and aeromonas to access blood vessels thus inflicting damaging results to the host particularly as septicemia, columnaris or dropsy. You'll be surprised the Flavobacterium columnare can adhere itself to the protozoans. When this happens, a mixed infection ensues. Get rid of first and primary cause first which is the parasite before bacterial infection.
