What's the smallest poly I could put with a 12" P.p. polli?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Senegalus is in and doing fine. Looks tiny next to the polli but happily swims around with it and shoves it out the way when feeding. Now just got to grow the Endlicheri a bit and he'll be good to go.
Thanks again for the advice all :)

I've had my ex try to surprise me with a Senegal in my ornate tank..... lets just say it got eaten before I even got to see it lol

I think ornates are probably the most likely upper jaw to eat smaller poly, when I got my DAT I put my 6 inch polli in the main tank from the grow out, and my 8 inch ornate was still trying to eat him the nest day so its back in the grow out for him

You'll be fine, I've grown out a VERY small albino Senegal with that Polli, never nipped it or lunged at it. That I saw at least lol. Albino is around 2.5-3 inch.

You'll have to be a bit more careful w/ the endli, I would put it in the main at 5 inch, by then it should be plenty thick enough to not be eaten

The endlicheri is just over 4". Took a couple of days to settle and eat but is getting nice and fat now. I'll give it a couple of inches and then it'll go in the main tank
