does anyone know a smaller tank?

sounds like you dont have a big enough tank and are waiting for someone to give you an answer you want to hear. :D

lol..
no..nothing like that.
i am building a pond next weekend. i want to section it off and i want to get a feel for how big i want the sections due to breeding room.

I can bang in a car. Doesn't mean I want to live there. The more room you give them the happier they will be and the more enjoyment you will get out of them.

Big pond, big sections, big success.

yeah, but you stay in the back seat!

It's not about gallons, it's about foot print. I can have a 6' round kiddie pool that has enough space, but only 100 gallons as long as I keep the water chemistry in check.

You need to give them enough space to move around comfortably.

youre right..
i was just wondering if i should go long or wide..which in turn made me wonder what the smallest tank was...
so i was thinking length until myblue said 4x2..
its going to be an 8x4x2 ..so i was thinking splitting it into 8'x2's but i think i will go 4'x4' now.
the reason for my splitting up the tank is that i am afraid the 13" male will rape my 7" pearl..and maybe kill her.
But i might just keep her in the 125 for a few more months..
