To add to the electric eel losing side. Although vital organs are near the head, would it survive after being snapped in half or be capable of still generating a substantial shock?
Just a thought

u never know where the tiger might bite, as he might bite from the back, which wouldn't cause way too much damage depending on the bite, however the candiru then could move in

not so fast....electric eels mostly have their vital organs located in the upper body, and there is a huge chance it wont bite it there. A huge sturgeon will probably be too large for a goliath to kill, one on one. both bullsharks and some other freshwater sharks could kill a goliath easily. DEBUNKED

A bull shark is a saltwater fish and as such isn't a real competitor in this competition.

A Glyphis shark is freshwater yes, but they only have a marginal size advantage and are considerably more gracile in build. They also have a significantly less effective offensive weapon than does a big GATF.

A GATF wouldn't need to bite the electric's vital organs to kill it. How would it survive bit in half? A long, slow painful death is still a death.

A huge sturgeon is 10-12 feet long, marginally larger than a paima or gator gar and when compared to a big GATF, still well within the size ratio of an ATF's ability to make a kill as established by the brevis & Nile perch interactions. As we've established earlier in this thread, its highly unlikely that any of the giant freshwater species specimens are actually left.

lol... If we need a coalition of of DIFFERENT SPECIES consisting of an electric eel to shock and stun a GATF and then a school of ravenous candiru to move in to finish it off, I think that fairly well establishes the GATF as a winner.

not really, the sturgeon is considerably wide and hard to get past by, and I find they will jump if under threat. The largest bull sharks are found in FW, so they are still a competitor, and I find that nile perch isn't that wide, which would put paima back in the comp.this ratio is pretty much a theory, as paimas and sturgeon grow they get considerably wide.

and I meant after the eel encounters the gaft, then the gaft could grab the wrong part and the eel would be finished of by candiru. if they both die, then its a draw, so the gaft aint winner yet
( sorry for double post, for some reason it doesn't let me edit)

its become clear that you think the electric eel kills all even though people have proved you wrong. how would an electric eel electrocute a GATF after its been bitten right in half!!!?

I'm fine with it being a theory. A theory is something that is fully supported by available scientific evidence, but is not directly testable. As such, the theory that a large GATF would be able to kill and eat a sturgeon, paima or gator gar is a sound theory. Will we ever be able to actually test it? No. Does the evidence support that it's possible? That's a resounding yes.

What do you mean that Nile perch aren't that wide?! They are a very thick bodied fish! They can get 7' long and upward of 400 pounds, they're a legit contender to the crown of largest freshawter fish, but for some reason don't get the credit they deserve. For example, the fish I'm posting below was 308 pounds. These fish live with Hydrocynus brevis which is scientifically proven to kill and eat them ONE ON ONE!
