its become clear that you think the electric eel kills all even though people have proved you wrong. how would an electric eel electrocute a GATF after its been bitten right in half!!!?
as soon as the gatf bites the shock is delivered, killing the gaft, resulting in a draw, meaning it aint won yet.a bull shark is still a contender, and I doubt gatf can get past em

in comparison with sturgeon, they aint that wide.

You possess a severe logical fallacy that is clouding your ability to accurately judge this.

Two reasons why-

First, the real thickness of the Nile perch vs. a sturgeon is irrelevant. The way the ATF kills is by biting through the caudal peduncle of the larger fish, amputating the tail. The ATF will then harass the larger fish with wounding bites until it bleeds out, at which point the ATF can feed at its leisure. Do you really suppose that it would be harder for a 5' GATF to bite through the 8" caudal peduncle of a 12' sturgeon than it would be for a 2' brevis to bite through the caudal peduncle of a 5-6' Nile perch? Do keep in mind that the sturgeon is a cartilaginous fish, so it won't have the strength of bone reinforcement like the perch.

Second, of course the sturgeon is thicker. They can get twice as long and weigh three times as much. No one's arguing that. It is, however, irrelevant to our conversation. It's all about the proportions of the fish, as established above. It's important to note that the Nile perch is much thicker than a sturgeon at parity, even though they're smaller overall.

Forgive the quality of this comparison, I don't have photoshop at work and had to do this in paint-

hmm wat about bullshark, I think they are pretty much the best, and the largest ones are FW

Bull sharks spawn in rivers and other low salinity waters. They live in the ocean. As such, it's no surprise to occasionally find a large specimen in freshwater. However, to claim that the largest ones are in fresh water based on Jeremy Wade catching a big one in freshwater isn't a sound conclusion. The largest fish are caught in saltwater, as supported by this fish caught in the Atlantic off of Kenya which is the IGFA world record, or this one caught off of Miami that's even larger but uncertified. Take your pick.

The reason this reply took me so long is because even though Jeremy's bull shark was "the biggest ever caught", I can't find a weight listed anywhere. Odd.

now I think two new candidates should step in:the short tailed stingray and the giant stingray, both with suction cup design that will make them hard to pry off
