i love my animals to death. any fish over 6 inches has a name and my cats run the place.. but...well..... i started breeding my favorite fish flowerhorns for personal fun, i don't sell them really. a few good ones to me, a few good ones to petstores for free, and a few to friends. im just trying to make my own fish
well my first flowerhorn batch i rased all 150 or so fish to 3 inch.. then i hada pick my best 10 and.. well.. the first cull was horribly hard on me. i raised them then i hada.. well yea. now that im a couple times into breeding i don't even think twice about culling <my mom calls me the adolf hitler of the fish world trying to make the "perfect fish"> but at the sAme Time im telling myself if i flood the market with ****ty fish <seeing as only 2% of fh batches look pretty> then these fish have a good chance making it into the wild <relase from stupid owners> AnD I don't wanna be responsible for that mess..
maybe thats what i tell myself to lessen the guilt.. hehehe
the other think is i use crappy grade flowerhorns and parrots for target fish. when my male fh have a littler fish to pick on theyre colors spring out..

the flower horn hobby have helped me in my steps to become a serial killer

i used to fish for creek chubs when i was younger. We never worried about bait bc all you had to do was catch one, and then use parts of it as bait to catch others, and then use them to catch more. But once a huge water snake hit the line and wouldnt let go, forcing us to reel it in, which in turn scared the living **** outta us and then never did it again afterwards.

Also i used to have two gouramis in a tank when i was 10, the larger one would always bully the other so after a while i figured out a solution, trim its tail down real short, so not only could it not swim fast to corner and bully the other, but couldnt swim away if the other one bullied it.
 
i have a s/w tank, i got a 40$ clown fish, and my spoted damsel would nip my clown, and this is were you say heh 7$ fish or 40& fish. so i took the dam damsel and put in my fresh water tank, he didnt last to long about 20 mins. then i flushed him ( and those 20 mins was sitting on the gravel with just gills moving )
 
also this wouldnt count as the worse ive done to a fish, but i still felt bad doing it... one time i needed feeders real bad (and the stores were closed), so we were at the fair and decided to play the throw the ball into the bowls game to win goldfish. I lost horribly, not making a single one, but hit on to put it nicely not so attractive carnie girl working it. She was happy to get the attention, and i was happy to get 3 goldfish as a result. Poor girl thought she was giving me pets, but within an hour they were all in my oscars belly.

well about 1hour ago i cleaned my tank out started using a hose pipe to drain the water out and again to fill it up.

kinda found 2 khuli loaches in the gravel outside next to the drain.

kinda crazy that i found them and still alive as it was about 30mins after i finished
 
this is embarrassing to admit, but when i was 18 and new to fishkeeping, i had 2 oscars, a red devil and jd in a 55 gallon tank.. and i did like once a month cleanings on the tank.. horrible! Oh and i fed them feeders all the time.

im sorry to admit i did that.. :lipsseale

i now keep africans (fish, that is) and am religious about weekly waterchanges.:headbang2
 
I had a male and female betta together once. Well, the female whooped the males @ss and nipped all his fins off.

So I decided to give her a taste of her own medicine. I put her in my oscar tank.

my albino gobbled her up before she even hit the water.
 
When we were kids we had bettas and my little brother being the @sshole he is dropped a 9V battery in the bowl.
