What's this fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Definately ID Shark. These things can grow to about 4'.

all cats in that genus will outgrow a 180g, iirc the ID is the smallest in the genus and tops out at 4', while paroons can hit 8'+(apparently can get as big as mekong cats) it looks like the cat is over 8" and i think $40 would be a fair price depending on the area.

The other one looks exactly the same as the one shown, the pics should actually be one of each....the biggest one is 13 inches long, and the smaller one is about 9-10 inches long...

Thanks so much for the info, I hate misleading folks, but that's what I was told they were...now I know and can sell accordingly.

Thank you again!!

i thought they were the same species, but it turns out the are just in the same genus. It will get several feet long. Definitely a fish that should not be sold, due to the ridiculous amount of space it needs.

how many inches are they? i have one i got as a rescue and it's 22"+ his name is tiny:D

That is an ID shark. Imperial ID OR Paroon has long slender fins hanging of their fins. Like the tip of the angel fish. They are shorter in the tail section length than an ID. I have both. My largest ID is 26" Imp ID is 18". This picture might help. Paroon is the top fish.
