What's this growth!?

See, last week I had him in my 240 and all was fine and every fish in there is in good shape. I took him out last weekend and separated a part of my Trimac tank and then just a day ago he developed this. Everything in the 240 is fine but I went ahead and treated my Trimac tank as well as the quarantine tank he's in already.
@Miguel he was eating like a pig in the 240 and was nesting with my female Carpintis but when I put him in my Trimac tank he's been looking all depressed(think of a moody Oscar) and not eating...so I think his not eating is related to being taken from the big tank and now he's in a small portion of a tank that's dominated by a big Trimac. Ill keep trying to see if he'll eat and will soak pellets in salt. Thanks.

It only prooves that most diseases and hex is one, show themselves in stress situations. He got stressed, disease symptoms showed up.

If he is not eating, you can try ( i have done it ) to smash the pellets with the epsom salt solution, make it into a pulpy, liquid paste and feed it to the fish with a syringue.

I had a piece of soft ruber hose in the suringue so as not to harm the fish.

You pick it up with the net, leave it in the net, secured, half in half out of the tank, and inject the liquid food iniside him. Takes 2 seconds.
