Looks like a dragon flie nimph. Younger stage of a dragon flie when they still live in the water.
 
Don't know a whole lot about them except they are very preditory and will eat small fish and and stuff. I actually saw one in a lake that had a small softshell turtle. Don't think it could have killed it but it was hanging on. I took it off though and used it as bait.
 
Actually that is a what looks like a damsel fly nymph, a close relative but smaller, more slender, and not quite as dangerous, but still bad news in a tank. There should be three extensions from it's rear end instead of the one showing but dragonflies have none.
 
LOL, here are dragonfly (spread wings) and damselfy (wings held together)
and Dragonfly nymph (fat) and damselfly nymph (slender).
The dragonfly nymph can give you a nasty bite.
