Whats up with my fish?

Yeah so i came home today around 6pm to find all of my fish with really light colors and when i mean light they were light. I have not seen this from any of my fish before. They are all really lazy and dont move,they just sit on the bottom like almost as if they are laying down and plus im just curious what causes them to act weird like this.

not in a while my testing kit is at a friends house but hes out of town until tomorrow

just get some water tests and you might find the problem.

were the lights on? When I wake up in the morning and turn on the lights, my tank is very quiet, and all the fish are sitting on the bottom of the tank. After about 5 minutes the africans are all going crazy.

yeah the lights usually on but they have never done this for this long before and their not eating either

Bad water conditions.

start by doing a nice water change and see if they perk up
