Whats up with my fish?

the water is 79 degrees and the water is clean and clear and i did a water change two days ago im gonna do another tomorrow but im curently keeping the light off and im watching them and their swimming around like their fine but when u turn on the light they just stop. My rtc and my pleco dont get affected by it at all but all of my other fish do
Clear water is not an indication of "clean" water. It sounds to me like a nitrAte climb that has just become too much for the fish, after prolonged exposure.

No, this will only make problems worse. Do more water changes, and it'll be interesting to see what your nitrate readings are. It sounds very much like that is what is causing your problems.
im going to get my kit back from my friend today but ive had the light off since last night and they are acting normal with the light off they finally ate but thanks for the help
the temperature as of right now is 81.4 but i have a dentist appointment right now -___- so ill get my kit in a bit test my water and update it on here
50-% water change with prime. How bright of a light you using? I have a flurescent light made for a 10 gallon tank on my 50 breeder/ It is plenty of light for me to see my fish and it doesn't bother them. Remember fish can not close their eyelids as humans can. That is why they hate bright lights.
