What's up with my local petco?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's awesome I saw an add for those guys but I figured they were out of the way a bit so I never looked into them much are they nice? What do they carry?
Still too small, they are expanding. Mostly saltwater with common fish for fresh. Maybe once they finish expanding they will have a better selection of fresh. Yea, don't go out of your way.

The petco in sugarhouse in salt lake is horrible, but there is a petco in north salt lake that has saltwater fish that is really good.

That's awsome man I wish all petcos could be like the one I use.
Also that's too bad about the store above Austin I had my sisters boyfriend tell me they opened one in south central Austin next to his apartment I wanna check it out.

The only thing thats cheap and free from petco is their ich. lol
LOL!....good one. There are not many Petcos in my area but since someone mentioned Petsmart they are the dominant pet store chain around here. The one nearest me recently downsized by constructing a wall down the middle of the store and stocking less merchandise....the rinky dink fish section still sucks too.

I still feel bad for the fish, especially when I'd see them in claims a week later from people who returned their dead pets
I'm sorry, I may have interpreted this wrong, but people bring in their dead fish? Wth is wrong with people??? Do they expect a refund or what???

Staff member: "how may I help you today Sir?"
Guy: "my fish died"
Staff member: "that's no good, do you know what caused it?"
Guy: "I duno, take a look and tell me!" *flops dead fish onto counter*

I think they guarantee their fish for 48hrs , in case of deaths they will offer replacement fish

Ahh yep. A local chain store has a 7 day guarantee if the fish is put in an established tank, but I've never thought about how you'd have to "prove" that your fish carked it.. I guess taking the fish in would be the easiest way to go about it. Thanks for the "face palm" moment. :D
