i would agree with fanatic-take her out and quarantine her. what she is doing isnt normal yellow lab behavior-either she is sick, or she is being picked on. what are your water parameters in the tank? how often are the waterchanges?
I do water changes every couple of weeks and add water conditioner every week. And at the moment I don't have another tank but was thinking of setting up a 20 gallon. And it is eating.
If I do get another tank, how long do you think I'm going to need to cycle the water for in this case? Because I really don't want to harm my other fish.
a normal cycle takes just over a month, but if you have an established tank that you can take some of the filter media and seed a new tank, that would really be the best way to do it. do you have a freshwater test kit to test your parameters?
I just bought a 10 gallon and plan to just use the water from my other tank like you said. Ugh, but I decided to buy sand. Stupid me, I'm not going to bother with that. I'll pick up some gravel tonight.
2 Red Zebra one is really small, Ice Blue Zebra, Bumblebee, Cobalt Zebra, Electric Blue, Jewel and a Four Line Catfish. Not sure on the sizes, their not too big yet. The Electric Blue is the biggest.
Why do you add water conditioner when you are not adding water? Adding chemicals for the sake of adding is not helpful... plus lab is the least aggressive on the list, it could be aggression....
what is the footprint of the tank... amount of hiding spots?
