Whats up with this TSN?

so i emailed the guy with the TSN, and im going to see the catfish this sunday. I said if I see him eating then well make the trade. He responded by saying "i dont think he'll eat for you on sunday cause i already fed him on today, ill drop something in f he eats its your luck i cant make him eat" he also keeps trying to convince that the bump on his head isnt a defect or anything thats just how he is (either he thinks im stupid, or he hasnt done his research).... What do you guys think about this, is it true that he might not eat on sunday? im new too catfish, but every other predatory fish ive never stop eating no matter how much i feed them. And i hear these catfish eat like pigs.
I wouldn't do it, it seems wicked shady. If I were you Id just buy one and grow it out in my 180 since you wont be able to keep it there forever you should try and keep it there for as long as possible without trading one of your fish.
actual as far as the feeding goes once these fish get to about 14 inch they seem to slow down on there eating. mine only eats ever 2 to 3 days and will go longer with no problem. as far as the predator feeding catfish are ambush predators. so waiting for food is a norm. I will tell you the one thing mine will go out of its way to eat if it smells it in the tank is earthworks there the tsn version of catnip.
I rescued mine and he is awsome now. he eats from my hand every night and lets me touch his head. mine is about 14in he was in a 150 and is now in my 540g tank
