Whats with the sudden change?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have loved the fish from Victoria for all the years I have been keeping fish. They will never be cyclical to me.

Just wish I could find some bred locally in the Bay Area.

Also a lot of the guys that use to post other things have been off the forum for a bit. Now that you guys are back feel free to post other stuff. I will have more post after next weekend. Right now I am working on the fishroom and have not had the time to post and discuss much right now.

So have you found that nickname pharaoh?

There have been some imports of w/c victorians not long ago,and that seems to have created a ripple effect of interest in them.Lots of really nice fish, some so colorful Ive seen some MFKers insist the pics were photoshopped recently.
If you want some more malawi or tang talk, post up a topic Im in! lol

Heck I basically am only reading/replying not starting new threads. (Sadly I really don't have time to photograph my fish and such anymore.

Wow, this thread blew up! :D I guess what I was trying to say is that I see more Vic talk now, ALOT more, not that it is a bad thing. I have a bunch of stuff but I dont talk about it, mainly because I am not running into anything that I have questions about, but I also dont see many people here keeping the tangs that I do, so I guess to a point I dont post alot of stuff because I think that everyone will find it boring, considering that I keep some of the less common tangs and not all of em are bright and colorful like mbuna and haps and some Vics.

I am always interested in learning new things. Something said on a post may spark my interest in a species I've never thought of keeping. Right now, myself, I am concentrating on Vics, but I wouldn't necessarily rule out any particular fish. I have no experience with Tangs, but I tend to read a lot of the things posted on a lot of different species. But when I have no info or input, there is no reason for me to post. I can, however, post "Cool fish"...LOL

Do you like it? lol

i also think that most fish are cyclical, as the demand for a certain fish increases they get mass bred then sent over hear then everyone keeps them then somebody will find a new fish thats hard to find and that fish will get mass bred, that is what happened with lots of vics like the zebra obliquidens and then also frontosa from tanganyika.
although i think there are fish that this wont happen to like neochromis for example dont generally get mass produced same with the sand sifters from lake tanganyika.
so my point is alot of things get mass produced but i think will be some fish groups that wont.
