Whats wrong with dinosaur reconstruction?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What I am saying is instead of going after the odd carcass it would actively seek out other predators and steal their kills routinely, much like entelodonts

the bitemarks fit perfect to a spinosaurids tooth. Im happy you agree with Stegosaurus. What is your idea about its plates? I mean its obvious they could not stand up like they show it today. maybe it hanged down at his side to protect the sides?

Im not sure what to think about the plates but hanging down, they were too small to offer any form of armour.

So why is there thoughts of the sail being a hump when there is so many issues with it, imo more so then the sail premise. I understand your points about the sail theory having serious flaws.

I personally think that the sail transformed in a rainbow creating transdimensional time machine, that allowed the spino to feed on magic pixies. My theory!!!

i can't accept the sail. If he slides on the mud and roles on his back, he is dead. If a predator bites in the sail the spine is easily broken. Thats the flaws that i see and for me, its just not working. I see no reason why any animal would have such a weak design mistake

Our organs are easily damaged if we fall. Weak design? Yes. We are the dominant species on Earth yet we are not built with giant humps and bubbles around us.

Excatly how a smaller predator can break a sail when Spino is largest theropod that is walking alive on the earth? Were talking about a 12tons theropod v.s a 4-6tons theropod.

Giraffes have longer legs that they will kill themselves if tripped over, yet they are one of successful megafauna. They trade short legs for long legs so they can feed off the leaves of tree. My guess is that Spino probably have a trade-off. A hump doesn't fit in your theory.

YOU cant accept it, I can. I cant accept that the spines where A, a hump for holding water(does a camals hump have spines? Actual question) B, for excess large muscles when there is no place for such muscle to attach to. The sail could have been for balance or many different things. The spines could have been easily broken but not have affected the animals actual spinal column. Why do u,think it was so fragile that a simple fall would have ended its life?

I,posted all my reasoning before. No current reptile, theropod, or mammal that feeds on primarily fish has such a hump. Nor are any bones I can think of that have large muscle attached, smooth.
