What a depressing conversation, gents.

We all know this is going to end, sooner or later, as all things end, and we all know that our species has a lot to be blamed for.

In the end we are one of the many species who had its period and will vanish. Not much we can do.

I respect all serious decisions. But i would never refrain from having children. Children are the sign of hope, of a tomorrow.

Could go on, but won't:)

very well stated miguel...... as far as having children.. in general this is a personal decision for people to make or choose.. and there are many reasons that people choose not to bear and raise children.. from simple reasons .. to very intricate complicated reasons.. but it is completely personal.. i am sure happy my parents even though we struggled decided to have all 8 children.. because we all appreciate what they did for us.. and now when they are gone.. we have each other siblings...... friends for life ..
i know we cannot change the world.. or change things that have happened for the past 500,000 yrs.. we cannot go back to the beginning and start over... but each one of us can do a small part to improve our life and the lives around us.... not make things worse..

People are taking it to 2 separate extreme points but I don't think it should be as black and white. It seems to be people either being like YES its all true!! Or people being like it doesn't matter because there is too many of us so we don't care.

The middle is where people should be looking, most don't want to sacrifice much for the safety of the ecosystem. Well you don't have to "move out of your house live naked and in a mud hut". That's taking it to the extreme. All you have to do is freaking RECYCLE and buy recycled goods. This in itself negates one of the biggest problems with our specie, our waste. Hell even NOT littering ever is a good thing to do and helps. Planting a couple trees every summer is another good way to positivley impact the earth that doesn't take a great or sacrificial effort.

Choosing to drive a lower impact vehicle also helps but until at least half of cars on the road are hybrid/solar/electric it won't make all that much of a difference. But its a start in the right direction.

Basically what I'm trying to say is you don't have to be some hippy dippy holier then thou environmentalist to help make less of an impact or try to negate your negative impact by creating positive ones. Everyone should be looking to make less of an impact, for the health and safety of your grandchildren, great grandchildren and every other human that will inhabit earth when we are long gone

Hell even the UN put out a report that illustrates how " going green" can and will be profitable, profit has been the biggest drag on green energy. As soon as the big energy companies switch, which they will because natural gas and crude oil drilling will become more expensive then green energy, the general public opinion of it will improve drastically.

Its only a matter of time before green energy is the standard and majority public opinion will be much better for lowering your impact on the earth. If we can't control our own population though, our governments will. Nobody, not even us as a whole are more important then our environment, and to ensure that we don't spread to a completely in manageable our governments will place population restrictions. It will more then likely be a decision made at the UN for the benefit of us all, future descendants included. I just hope people will understand and submit rather then ignorantly resist as a LOT of people still ignorantly resist green energy and making less of an impact

very well stated... it is the little efforts from a vast amount of people that will make the largest improvement and difference .....

That " population retriction " thing makes me nervous...it is agianst the grain .

I could not condone, even for a so called greater good, a policy like the chinese one child policy.

Am not saying it won't happen, unfortuantely. Just hpe I won't see it.
