what's wrong with my catfish?

no there not but the cat is yes add salt they need more and more salt as they get older they have been found in full marine conditions but mostly stay in medium to high end brackish conditions i add about 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt in my cichlid tank sometimes less but it doesn't hert it helps a little i think there pretty healthy but TOO MUCH would be bad for the oscar but under 1 1\2 teaspoons and it should be okay . that cat really needs salt thow they all ways end up getting sick without it
NOTE: only add salt with water changes and don't add too much at one time SLOWly raise the salt level when i start to add salt to a new tank or one i allready have i change about 20 percent of the water weekly and add the amount of salt i want the tank to be and after a few weeks of water changes with the amount of salt you want it should change the over all salt content of the tank at a good speed

what if i tried this...? put the catfish in a 5gal bucket or somthing like that, with the brakish water. meanwhile, gradually salt the aquarium. then after the aquarium is closer to being suitable for the cat, put him back in the tank. how is this idea???
slowly increase the salt daily. Try increasing the salt by about a teaspoon a day until you get to 3 or 4 teaspons per 5 gals of water.
well if you put him straight in a bucket with brackish water from freshwater it would shock the cat just slowly raise the salt in the tank its in and it should be fine
