What's wrong with my dat??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if there are white heads popping out or hanging out then its probably zits. /dat disease.

T1s didnt have whiteheads but more like little tiny pink bits on the surface of scales.
looking more closley at those pics there are some lumps developing..........also.
please keep us updated. .

i think its zits dat deasese

do you have a UV

as said before not all tigers die from it

if they get over the first attack and they go chances are it wont kill but go and come back

the things that worked for a pal of mine was pull the tiger out and rub esha 2000 into it daidly

the good thing is tigers are very easy to handle once out of the water

as far as i know other fish cant get it

that was my first concern, i didnt want to loose rays over a dat.....
The tank he was originally in did not have a UV. The new tank he was moved into for a few days with the rays DID have a UV. (My rays will never be on a tank without)... Since noticing something was wrong with him, i moved him to his own tank to quarantine him until i could tell what was going on. this tank does not have a UV. I noticed this morning he was swimming with his head straight up... not a good sign.

I have been told but don't think it's true that fish moved to tanks without UV after being kept with a UV are not as strong due to less pure water

But i have sold new born pups that was born in my tank with UV to people without UV and they have done fine

As the tiger is a IT not NTT which seam to die for no reason I would expect your IT to be as hard as nails

Dat disease is very rare but it does seam to appear around the Gil plate eyes and head

I don't think it's Gil flukes but treating it won't do any harm

i noticed that inside of the gill itself looks pretty swollen and inflamed. I dont have anything to loose so i treated the Q tank he is in with PRAZI PRO... Don't think this will help, but he seems to be getting worse, and something needs to happen.

Ive had this on my NTT before and it never killed him. These pimple like bumps were located on his head. After a few days the bumps seem to ooze out with white substance. When he has it, he's stable and eating. Never really seemed to bother him. I do notice that it comes and goes for my tiger. What I do is raise the temp to 85F, water change, and aquarium salt. Seems to help out a little bit.
