Wierd, I had an indo with that but it was becaused I was feeding futian freeze dried shrimp and it stabbed him from the inside.

its weird you say that, their mainstaple of food is worms or nightcrawlers...

Maybe the dat got a tricky night crawler that was strong enough to push its forehead out, trying to escape the dats mouth??

He was acting normal before i came back to college... The usual hiding place(his ship) with his head peering out watching the world... Eating worms, and bloodworms without a problem...

My dats in the growout are not too active in general.. there are brazen ones, and the rest just do there thing, hunting until they see a potential food item.

Swims fine....

Hes just deformed... looks like a fish version of Elephant man.

update... hes moving around more now... just looks so bad still.

20G Quarentine, with melafix, some salt and a temp at 83. my heater sucks in this tank.

His/Her lips are peeling away from its face... looks very painful.

Hopefully he/she has enough fight left in him/her.

Still eats, not as much, but food at least interests the fish still. tiny earthworm pieces, and bloodworms.
