Have any apple snails, plecos, or Fei Fengs in there? Looks like a wound to me, either burn, bites, or abrasions. I've had rays that like to surf the bubbles up to the top of the tank rub their back on things and it ends up looking like that...... Ray equivelant of a scab.

Ya or if your ray swims the top all day and the top of its back is subjected to air too much.

My tank size is 12' 6' 2'. Yeah I think is my fei fong. I already took that ray out and she is still eating hope nth goes wrong.

Yeah sometimes people get lucky with them and sometimes they don't. Hope that was the problem and the ray recovers for you.

if you think it's the fei fong, i suggest that you should take the fei fong out of that tank since it will find another target and might suck another ray's slime coat

how big is the poorly ray and how big are the other rays ?

My rays are all around 18" yeah I'll remove that fei fong ASAP. Not that easy to catch him out in my tank.
