LOL! I have had my share of catching fish in larger tanks. Put your nets in the tank and let them hang there all day. After lights out and the fish are sleeping catch them then. Its much much easier
Great tips, thanks! They are starting to look better already I think, with just the heat. It is at 86 minimum right now. I have my Ranco set to 86 and 88 temp swings, so it kicks on at 86 and off at 88. I also did a 25% water change which hopefully helped. I'll give it another few days and see if they are improving even more. Darippa, how can you tell your fish are Jewish?
My severums get that on torn fins from fighting among themselves. I don't treat it and it goes away fairly rapidly, like within a week. The tank is at 82 with weekly 20 percent water changes, no substrate.
They are looking great again. With only 2 heaters in my 400 gallon, the water temp only hits 86 max and the heaters seem to be on all the time. I might pop for another heater just in case I need to do this again.
