What's your BIGGEST Geo?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are some real beasts on this thread - nice! :headbang2

I have some pretty big Geos, but nothing huge. I bought them all at around 1.5"-2" almost three years ago. The G. abalios are 6"-7" SL and the G. steindachneri is about 6" SL. I also have two A. heckelii that are 6"-7" SL.

My rays killed my biggest mapiritensis last night. I wish I would have measured and taken a pic. Eyeball would be a little over 8"

Ah, that sucks. I didn't know rays would kill fish too big to eat.... :(

Thanks! They are 6"-7" Standard Length (to the base of the caudal fin). Tip to tip (not counting streamers) they are more like 7"-8". It is a Festivum, he is probably a good 7" and really deep and thick besides.

I just turned the lights back on for these pics so they weren't too happy with me. My largest is 11.5 inches last time I measured it. Its the last one standing of a group of 6 dicrozosters we ordered about 8 years ago.
The other is my 7 inch altifron. I've got 4 of them in a new upcoming batch

Damn JK, I lost my pups last weekend. Something ate them. One day they are thriving and next day gone. They were in tank w/ my big abalios too. Either a catfish went rogue or I had some bad tilapia filet, our water is great. Smh.

I have no idea when I asked the guy I bought them off who's very trust worthy I was told Columbia.
When I saw them on the list they were supposedly bought off it said rio atrato. I was told these were bought from Oliver Lucanus from belowwater
