What's your dream tank setup?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just want an indoor pond big enough to house an RTC, a tig, and a TSN.

5,000 gallon acrylic saltwater tank with gag grouper red grouper a huge school of gray triggerfish and an assortment of grunts/snapper and porgies ;)

-- but based on the fact that the maintinence would make me go insane, my realistic dream tank is about a 300 gallon with 2 or 3 peacock bass and maybe a black arowana or a jardini

Great thread gives newer members like yourself a place to tell their dream tank I myself would like to go whole hog and build an aquarium building for our private zoo which we do have and put tanks in there big enough to breed all kinds of fish especially some grt gouramis and maybe a pair of emperor cichlids.

I want a 600g tank with a pair of emperor cichlids. Or anequally bigger tank with rays and aros and dats.

My dream Tank would be a 20x20 room with a 36" wide tank lining all the walls(roughly 4155G), leaving maybe 6ft open in the middle of one for a doorway. I would want it set up on a drip system. Substrate would be large river stone gravel with powerful undergravel filters. I would have Monster Driftwood through-out the huge tank with the occasional nice looking fake plant. I wouldnt stock with any huge fish, but I would have a helluva variety of SA/CA cichlids with my fav oddballs like bichir, Knives, and schools of knuckleheads like Tinfoil Barbs, Silver Dollars and Balas. The room other than the tank would be empty except for tank length benches lining the tanks.
