What's your dream tank setup?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive decided that when I am rich i will have at least 6 50,000 gallon tanks in my house. And a giant koi pond.

One for big catfish and predators.
One for aggressive south american cichlids.
One for a south american peaceful cichlids and tetra community
One for a malawi community
One for a tanganyikan community
One for a asian barb and tetra community

:D

180 with ca/sa cichlids, 2 eheim 2262s, 300 watt stealth heater, black sand of some sort, and real drift wood.
or
240 with ca/sa cichlids, 2 eheim 2262 1 Fx5, two 300 watt heaters, black sand of some sort, and real drift wood.

i WILL accomplish one of those dreams!!!

unfortunatly they have to be kept alone
it's very rare to find two specimans
that will co-habitate peacably

once they sync up...co habitation is all but imposiable :D

My dream tank would be a 1000+ gallon reef tank with a shaol of purple tangs and a plethora of SPS/soft corals.

haha my dreams are doable! just gotta get my own place and save up that dough!! heck id be happy with just my 110, 180, and a 240. wont want anymore tanks! or atleast sell my 110 and get the 180 and 240!

i want a tank big enough for an id shark to grow to full potential:popcorn: then put some bichirs, reed fish, gars, and and red belly pacu in there until i get bored...:grinno:

Dreaming eh? Convert the entire backyard into a pond (100'x150'), have a comfy basement veiwing room with cozy couches and all my music stuff (and dream music stuff). It shall be stocked with big cats, toad fish, and a wide assortment of SA chiclids and big puffers and a bottle nose dolphin all living in peace and health. They shall tell me jokes, funny ones as they feed ME fine cuisine every night. Then I shall play songs of the dry world for them and they will listen with rapt attention and raise a toast to me.

Mine would be this

No one's forcing you to post here then. It's not like everyone on MFK has been/seen those two threads you included.

On a more relevant note, i'd like a 15'x7'x6' (LxDxH) 2" thick acrylic tank in my living room. It'd be heavily planted, maybe even a riparium, stocked with a couple of cuban gars and asian+african arowanas.

My dream setup would buy the Georgia Aquarium or build one like it and make a replica habitat of a large reservoir and have a large school of stripers, spotted bass, and a huge school of white and black crappie. Also have huge schools of blueback herring, threadfin and gizzard shad, along with many species of sunfish. I would also make a shallow gravel and sand shoreline scattered with "laydowns" for spawning purposes, I would setup the deep water to imitate a flooded river bed with submerged trees on both sides of a channel.
